These book, were amazing! I haven't been this intreguied by a teenage boy since the ending of Harry Potter, well and my time as a teen. (Hello Wil Wheaton and Jonathan Brandis!) D.C. Akers captivates you with a plot that leaves cheering on Sam as he discovers who he is and who he needs to become. Once it gets momentum it doesn't stop then suddenly it ends in a way that you need more.
My 11 year old daughter has started the series and is in love with it. She loves that the characters are releatable, the storyline is detailed in such away that she understands it with ease. She reads slowly and usually has a million questions about what something means or what was meant by a saying. D.C. Akers managed to write in a way that explains clearly exactly what he means.
If you're looking for a book to fill that hole in your heart that J.K Rowlings left at the end of The Harry Potter series this is it. Sam Dalcome and his journey to become a hero in this new world will lead down a path like none other.
